From the founder
Why I built Samirla

In college, I lost more hours than I'd like to admit just trying to find reliable Philippine data for my research. When I finally tracked something down, it was usually buried in a clunky government portal that was almost impossible to make sense of.

I saw a few brave attempts to open this data up, and I'm grateful for them, but most were still early and just as hard to navigate. I kept thinking the same thing every student, researcher, and small business owner probably thinks: the data exists, so why is it this hard to actually use?

So I built Samirla to answer that question. One clean place that makes sense of the numbers we already have, at a glance, and keeps them within reach for everyone, not just the people who know exactly where to look. I planned this for years, and I'm proud to finally bring it to life.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Where does the data come from?

Official, public Philippine government data: the PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority) OpenStat database for retail prices, imports & exports by country, CPI/inflation and population, the DOE (Department of Energy) for weekly fuel pump prices, the DA (Department of Agriculture) Bantay Presyo for weekly NCR market retail prices, and the BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) for the daily USD/PHP reference rate. We aggregate, clean and present the published figures as-is; we don't alter the underlying numbers.

How fresh is the data?

PSA prices, trade and CPI publish monthly; figures land a few weeks after period-end and we sync on a schedule. DOE fuel prices and DA Bantay Presyo market prices update weekly.

Do I need to pay to start?

No. Every new account gets full Pro access free for 14 days, no card required. When the trial ends you keep a free tier (all commodities, recent history) or upgrade to stay on Pro.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. Payments are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record) on their secure hosted checkout, and we never see or store your card details.

Can I access the data via API?

Yes. Pro and Enterprise plans include API keys and full REST access. Generate a key in your dashboard under the API tab.

Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely. Cancel from your account page and you'll drop back to the Free tier, with no lock-in.
